Patchwork is this week's theme on Sunday Postcard Art (SPA). Instead of fabric, I worked with scraps of paper. I actually save most of my paper scraps from mixed-media art projects.
Many times, I create art work using only these small pieces of paper that I have saved in envelopes. Somehow, I find it relaxing to arrange these scraps on card stock, or canvas, to create a complete, and new, background for my art.
To unify the many papers that I used, I shaded the paper edges with different colors of oil pastels.
Check out what the other artists did on SPA. This week's host, Anne, made a beautiful postcard by stitching her scraps together on a sewing machine.

This is gorgeous Darlene - I love the colours you've used and the words really pop - lovely!

What beautiful colors, and what an uplifting message. I would say you're at a good place in time right now to produce something so serene and lovely!
