Today I have another work-in-progress to share. This is a hooked rug that I'm currently attempting to complete. Finally, the background is almost done. My next step is to make a double checkerboard border in black and white. I'm talking a big checkerboard design - not those tiny little squares that you see on the linen.
A traditional rug hooking project takes a long time to complete. Since I belong to a Rug Hooking Group that meets weekly, it doesn't get boring. Chatting and eating treats makes the hooking go by faster.
The women in our group all create their own original designs. We use 100% wool and cutters to make our wool strips.
