We made four charms and three bead dangles. Julie was so organized that she made individual kits for each of the charm components. We also learned a good deal about jump rings and wire wrapping.
The oval charm (above) may look like it was made from shrinky dinks. However, Julie told us that she uses plastic boxes (#6 variety) from the supermarket salad bar in place of the shrinky dinks product.
The plastic boxes can be cut into various designs, allowing for shrinkage. Julie put the pieces into a toaster oven to shrink them. We were amazed that our plastic pieces curled up and then flattened in the oven similar to shrinky dinks.
The workshop was both fun and relaxing.
