By late morning I had finished my painting for Day 11 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. I was about to post it on my blog - and then we lost power in North Carolina. It has been raining all day.
It is now the Dinner Hour and the power just came on. So here I am. This painting of a village was a real challenge for me because I'm not used to working with yellow and orange watercolor paints. But I'm glad I finished the painting because I learned how these two colors can make a painting pop.
The dark shadows that you see are due to the use of a water soluble pen. Please check out the other paintings in this challenge.
