A while back Teesha Moore was having a final sale on her Zetti rubber stamps so I purchased her alphabet stamps. Last night, I finally got around to mounting them. I purchased the Static Cling EZ Mount Mounting Foam and the EZ Mount Stamp Storage Panels.
There was limited information on the Mounting Foam package. I read it and began cutting the foam. What a sticky mess! The latter situation actually made precise cuts more difficult. Later I did a google search for more detailed directions. Here's what I learned:
- Press your stamps onto the exposed adhesive. Next, using a brush, dust baby powder onto the remaining adhesive. Maybe you knew this - I didn't. It will then be easier to cut the adhesive.
- Clean your scissors with nail polish remover. Last night, I tried to remove the sticky residue with alcohol which did not work.
Here are some of my mounted stamps on the Storage Panel. And my dusted stamps ready for cutting. I used Tim Holtz scissors.
Because of my experience, I hope I saved some of you from sticky frustration.
Note: I learned that the static cling stamps should not be stored on CD cases. There's a possibility that the stamps could become permanently fused to the cases, especially if the stamps are left on the cases too long.
