Via PsychCentral, I discovered this post on 10 Creative Prompts for An Instant Dose of Positivity written by Margarita Tartakovsky, MS. The prompts come from the book, The Positivity Kit: Instant Happiness on Every Page written by artist and author Lisa Currie
Here are a few of the ideas that caught my interest:
- "Draw a different mug for every day of the week — something to make you smile as you sip your morning coffee/tea!" Why not do a quick sketch on your coffee mug with a Sharpie.
- "List your favorite things for every letter of the alphabet, starting with A and ending with Z." Here's another drawing opportunity.
- Draw a map of places that make you happy." Or places that put you in a creative mood.
- List several small but satisfying victories you’ve had recently." Sketch these victories out too.
