I was looking for the Good Life Project Living Creed created by Jonathan Fields so that I could insert a copy of it into my Hobonichi planner. I finally found the print-out in one of my old art journals.
I find the quote very inspiring to read. I hope you do too.
Via the CarveOutTimeForArt site, I discovered this interview with artists, Faith Evans-Sills and Mati Rose-McDonough who wrote the book, Painting the Sacred Within. I like what they say about taking the first step in art:
"One of my most important mantras, one I repeat daily is simply Begin Today. Often the hardest thing is taking that first step, but over time small steps in one direction can create big change. There is a quote by Karen Lamb that resonates so much: 'A year from now you will wish you had started today.' Applying this to our art practices we see how small changes built up over time will take your work in the direction that you want it to go."
