Introducing Sasha

Sasha is the newest member of the Cinnamon Pink Girls Art Prints. I added her to my Etsy shop today.

The painting has softer colors as compared to what you see on your screen. I find it very tricky to duplicate the look of watercolor paintings in Photoshop Elements.

Introducing the Cinnamon Pink Girls

During the last two years, I gave myself a challenge to draw every day. This is when I began developing a variety of girl characters. Daily, I would sketch, erase, revise - tossing out the discards. I'd add ink and watercolor paint to the sketches of the girls that pleased me.

Finally, I came up with a cast of characters that I have dubbed the Cinnamon Pink Girls. I think of them as "sweet but a little saucy too." Webster's dictionary describes saucy as "impertinently bold and impudent; amusingly forward and flippant." Yes, that's the Cinnamon Pink Girls. I will continue to refine, reinvent - and create additional characters to add to the group. I hope you like them.

I Opened My Etsy Shop Today

I finally did it - I'm now an Etsy Shop owner. You can find my shop at Koppel Studio. So far, I have only one listing which is the postcard that you see below. I will add more listings in the coming days. There certainly is a lot to learn when you're new to Etsy. If you have any Etsy tips, please let me know.

It's scary to open up an online shop. In the past, I've sold my mixed-media art, and related products, at Craft Shows. But selling online puts your products, out there, in front of the whole world. If you're an Etsy Shop owner, leave me a comment and your site's url.
