Michelle Ward has extended the Crusade No. 32: Knock Yourself Off Challenge to September 1 to allow for more entries. Check out Michelle's site for more details.
I loved this particular crusade. It made me take a closer look at how my art has evolved and it inspired me to create a special piece for this challenge. Thank you for the inspiration Michelle!
Over the past year or more, I had noticed that I was using larger elements in my collage pieces. But after completing my challenge entry, and comparing it to one of my earlier works, I REALLY became aware of the big difference in my art.
However, I did realize that I wasn't able to "lose the pink" over the years. The color shows up in my work almost every time. I guess I'll always be a pink person.
If you haven't participated in Crusade No. 32 yet, set aside some time in your Studio today! You'll be glad that you did.

So the second piece was inspired by the first? The second seems much bolder while the first is very quiet. Lovely stuff. Personally, I hope you never lose the pink. :)

Darlene, thanks for sharing your work with the team. I love that pink is still your color, but like Melisa said you've gotten much bolder. Great job on both of layering patterns - love it.

Right here is the right blog for everyone who would like to find out about this topic. You know so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on a subject which has been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!
