Have you tried Tea Bag Art? I have painted and stamped on tea bags but there are more techniques to try.
I discovered some ideas from a post about Tea Bag Art written by Jeannine Stein on the ClothPapersScissors site. One tip that especially interested me was "printing digital images on tea bags. To do this, Stein attaches a flat tea bag with tape to a sheet of copy paper and runs it through a printer, or irons bags onto freezer paper."
Here is a easier technique that I use to print on delicate papers: Spray the latter paper with Elmer's Multipurpose Spray Adhesive and then adhere it to plain copy paper and print. The delicate printed paper easily comes off the copy paper. And it's ready to glue to your substrate.
