I've been busy in my studio working on a series of collage art pieces. I just listed a bunch in my Etsy Shop.
Introducing my Glitter Guys! When I spotted an assortment of small bottles in a craft store, I knew that they would make cute little people. I set to work (It took a lot of work) and created these jolly, little handcrafted snowmen.
They all sport rhinestone and tinsel collars and tiny trinkets inside their bodies.

I reopened my Koppel Studio Etsy Shop. I've been so busy experimenting with various art projects that I haven't had time to list shop products.
I created some additional wood, art blocks (ACEO-style) that feature my original mixed media art work. Let me know if you're looking for a customized art block.

I have been busily working on some new art projects. When I checked my blog, I was surprised to learn that I hadn't posted in a few days.
Does the time go by so quickly due to this hurry-up world of Smart Phones, Pinterest, Web trolling, Texting and Apps? My two guilty pleasures are the Web and Pinterest. How about you?

A short time ago, I announced that Etsy was allowing Shop Owners to change the name of their shops. I was really excited about this because I wanted my Blog Name to be the same as my Etsy Shop Name: Cinnamon Pink.
Then, I received a communication from Etsy telling me that there is an inactive account with the name of Cinnamon Pink. Therefore, I couldn't use the Cinnamon Pink name. However, Etsy said that I could pick a different new name.
I didn't want to confuse my wonderful customers, readers and friends by choosing a third name that was different from both my blog and shop name. So I decided to go back to the original name of my Etsy Shop: KoppelStudio.
I hope that I did not cause any problems for any of you with these changes. Oh well, I just need to get up, dust myself off and get on with my work as KoppelStudio

I have great news to share! The new name of my Etsy Shop is now Cinnamon Pink. As of October 18, Etsy allowed sellers to change their Shop name.
You may wonder why I used two different names, i.e., Cinnamon Pink as my blog name - and Koppel Studio as my Etsy Shop name.
Many years ago, I joined Etsy so that I could purchase all these unique and beautiful handmade items. I chose the user name Koppel Studio not realizing that it would become my Shop name if I ever decided to go into business with Etsy.
I always felt that my Cinnamon Pink blog name better represented my products - and me as a person. Koppel Studio sounded too formal to me. So what do you think about the name change?

The site is very tempting. When I first explored the Top Etsy Sellers , I kept finding items that I wanted to purchase. You can also purchase Ad Space for your own shop. There are some great sellers to be found in the ads too.

I just created this glittery, sheet music wreath. This is the type of ornament that I would display year-round in my home instead of just bringing it out during the Christmas season.
I actually like to use special ornaments (whether handmade or purchased) as decorative accents in my home. For example, a few years back, I found cute ice cream cone ornaments in the gift shop of Biltmore Estate. I use the ice cream cones as lamp pulls in my bedrooms. In this way, I can enjoy them all year round.
Do you use any of your ornaments for different purposes?
I recently created these vintage-style, votive candle holders. I love the heavyweight feel of these glass votives. The glass is actually 1/4-inch thick.
The votives are covered in script ledger paper that is adorned with vintage eggs. I distressed the tops and bottoms of the votives to enhance the aged look. I added a double coating of glaze to protect the images.
I will probably put them in my Etsy Shop soon.

This vintage Fairy Tale carriage, on canvas, was a challenge to create but I'm pleased with the final product. I enjoy working with images from the past that have a romantic look and feel.
I just finished a new watercolor painting in my Cinnamon Pink Girl series. I added a new twist to my series by including a motivational message in my art. I decided that in this topsy turvey, fast-paced world, we all need some positive words in our life, including me.

Today, I virtually attended the Etsy Success Symposium. The event was a full day of workshops for Etsy sellers. The speakers were super motivational - and offered solid information that Etsy sellers could start using now. You can find more information here.
I believe the workshops were recorded so you can still benefit from the knowledge offered. I want to give a big shout out to the organizers of this event - and to the speakers too. The entire day was inspiring for me.

I just listed a bunch of new art in my Etsy Shop. I recently finished this vintage-looking, French canvas. The image came from the generous and sweet Karen from The Graphics Fairy. And the inspiration, for the canvas, came from Trisha, host of the Whimsy Art Studio blog. However, we each used different distressing techniques.
I had forgotten how much fun it is to do gel transfers on canvas and other substrates. I plan to create more canvases with different background colors, paints and graphics.
I recently put the final touches on this Eiffel Tower Vignette. You can see different views of it in my Etsy Shop.
When I create these Vignettes, I feel as if I'm telling little fairy tale stories with the various assemblages and embellishments that I develop. It's a challenging but rewarding task.
I continue to work with spun cotton to make vintage-style ornaments. I recently made this primitive sheep. You can see different views of the sheep in my Etsy Shop. It's the first four-legged ornament that I completed. It was a challenge. However, I find that working with spun cotton is somehow relaxing.

I recently put the final touches on this Blue Holiday Vignette Scene. I used colors of pastel blue and silver with the goal of making a shabby chic style keepsake. You can visit my Etsy Shop for more information.
Even though the making of these creations are labor-intensive, I really feel relaxed during the whole process.I guess that's just one of the benefits of making art. Some people say that when you Create Art, you are Praying. Many others say that Art Heals. I agree with both of those sentiments.

For a while now, I've been working on Holiday ornaments and decorations. My Studio is a jumble of ribbons, decorative trims, Victorian scraps, wool roving, pots of paint, ink pads and silver glitter on the floor. But the creative work is satisfying.

Through the years, I have always enjoyed painting and stamping on fabric. I've worked with both silk and simple muslin materials.
I recently created some shabby chic ribbon by hand-dying and hand-stamping some quality muslin material. The ribbon is 2-inches wide and comes in 2-yard packets. I just listed them in my Etsy shop.

Due to my temporary job, I haven't been able to create more art to post in My Etsy shop. I just finished this watercolor painting/collage piece.
The colors are softer than they appear on the monitor. I love the heart symbol - not just for Valentine's Day - but every day for me.

The painting has softer colors as compared to what you see on your screen. I find it very tricky to duplicate the look of watercolor paintings in Photoshop Elements.
